Call and form tracking

If the tracking is wrong, every other decision is wrong.

Conversion tracking that survives: call tracking to keyword level, form and chat tracking through Tag Manager, enhanced conversions, offline conversion import from your CRM, and GA4 configured so Google's bidding learns from real customers.

Every Google and Microsoft Ads account now runs on automated bidding, and automated bidding is only as smart as the conversions it's fed. We set up and maintain the full tracking stack: call tracking to keyword level, form and chat tracking through Google Tag Manager, enhanced conversions, GA4 configured properly, and offline conversion import so signed cases and closed sales flow back into the bid algorithm. Then we check it every week, because tracking breaks quietly and nobody notices until the leads stop.

What's usually broken when we audit an account

  • Conversions counting every page view of a thank-you page, including refreshes.
  • Calls not tracked at all, in a business where 70 percent of leads call.
  • Forms counted as conversions whether or not they were spam.
  • GA4 and Google Ads both counting, and both imported, so every lead is doubled.
  • No offline data, so a $5,000 case and a wrong-number call are worth the same to Smart Bidding.

What we set up

  • Call tracking with dynamic number insertion, so each call is attributed to keyword, campaign and page. Recordings for quality review where permitted. Platform of your choice; CallRail or similar, on your account.
  • Form and chat tracking through Tag Manager, firing only on real submissions, with spam filtered before it becomes a conversion.
  • Enhanced conversions with hashed first-party data, which recovers conversions that cookie limits now hide.
  • Offline conversion import from your CRM or intake system: qualified lead, signed, closed, revenue. This is what lets bidding optimize for cases and sales instead of contacts.
  • GA4 with a clean event model, cross-domain tracking where needed, and consent mode so the account stays compliant.
  • Weekly verification. A test call, a test form and a tag audit every week, with a written note if anything moved.

Why this is part of PPC and not an add-on

Because the person adjusting bids has to trust the number they're adjusting toward. We won't run an account whose tracking we haven't verified, and setting it up is part of every onboarding. Google Ads management.

What it costs

Setup is included in the onboarding fee. Ongoing verification is included in management. Call tracking software is paid by you directly, typically $50 to $200 a month depending on volume. Standalone tracking audits and setups for accounts we don't manage are quoted after a short call. Pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Will call tracking hurt my local SEO?
Not when set up correctly. The tracking number is swapped only for paid visitors; your Google Business Profile and site keep the main number.
Can you connect my CRM?
Yes. HubSpot, Salesforce, Clio, Lawmatics, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and most others, either natively or through a connector.
Do you record calls?
Where you want it and where the law allows it. Recordings are useful for lead quality review and intake training.
